As usual, Beth Moore gets to the point and gives real advice. She never "talks down" to you, she has been there too, and she is so positive in her outlook it becomes contagious. I highly recommend this book.

I was in a 'pit' when my cousin gave me this book. Not only did it help me to see I wasn't alone in my situation, but that God truly is the way to a better life. I've given this book to several people overcome by life's struggles and hope it helped them as much as it helped me.

I gave this book as a gift and my friend loved it. Beth Moore is very warm and endearing along with being funny. She is a wealth of knowledge and feeling. Try her Bible Studies as well!!

I actually won this particular book at a church function a while back. I kinda put it on the shelf for a while. I recently picked it up and realized that this woman was talking directly to me. It really feels like she is singling you out and getting right to the heart of your problems. I am a person that compares pits. I mean I really think that everyone else has their life together and I'm just this odd ball person out there who will just NEVER get it together. However, after reading her book I realized that everyone has their own issues and we all struggle every day to conquer our individual problems. Read this book! If you find yourself always going around in circles, never seeming to find resolutions in your life....READ THE BOOK!! It helps give insight into what is going on inside of you. You're not any different then the rest of us in this crazy world. Pick up this book and give it a try. What else do you have to lose?

Wow! It's been less than 6 weeks since I got the book and I am on my second read. Beth Moore hits the nail on the head in recognizing many of the difficulties and confusions that "pit dwellers" suffer from and presented in a style that feels like you are sitting and listening to her talk.
If you've been fed up of books that "help" by telling you what you already know is wrong and are looking for help in figuring out what you need to do and how, then give this book a read! Be prepared to be honest with yourself and to decide whether you want excuses for a painful and disappointing life or if you want to drop the past and change your future.
