 A Great Live Set May 11, 2008

Kutless is a top notch band and this is a great performance.
I have all of their other CDs so I had all of these tracks in my collection already which is why it took me a long time to buy this album. It is not a disappointment.
This live performance is incredibly energetic and powerful. The song selection is good. As one who loves their music, I am a bit disappointed that some songs were not included - particularly 'Vow' and 'Dry'. I do understand that there are space limitations though. This group has so many great songs that it must be very difficult to narrow it down for this type of CD.
Fans will really enjoy the DVD also. It covers the entire concert featured on this album. Its inclusion is certainly an added value.
For anyone who is not familiar with Kutless, I would strongly recommend them. They have solid Christian lyrics and an amazing rock sound. It will not disappoint.
Kutless Is Lively Live January 10, 2008
I can't resist a live CD/DVD combo from a band I like. So far, I've been happy, and this is no exception. Kutless does a great live show, great interaction with the fans, great stage presence and performance. However, their play-list isn't that great. Kutless has only done a few albums, and not many of those were great songs, so they're not going to have that many great songs to play live. This is most evident in the second half of the album, where the song quality really suffers, as these were from their early album, or some of the bad songs off thier new ones.
That said, the first half is great. And the DVD only adds immensely to the experience. The filming is done very well and creatively. The few bonus features are also welcome.
Overall, I would say you'd have to be a Kutless fan to like this enough to buy it. For the rest of you, you probably just might want to skip this.

I bought this CD knowing about 3 songs on the disk, and I like those songs. The remainder of the disk was very disappointing. I like Christian rock, but many of these songs the lead singer is screaming, which is not clever or interesting to me. I gave one star for the 3 good songs, the remainder of the disk is obnoxious in my opinion. To bad.

I recently purchased Live From Portland, and have found it to be very worthwhile. The music is catchy and addictive, the message is bold and evangelical, and the quality of the recording is stunning. One of my favorite aspects of Live from Portland, is the preaching Kutless does. It's warming to the heart and soul to hear these guys confess and share their love for Christ. Another strong point of the CD is it's variety. All of Kutless's albums are sampled very nicely on this CD-DVD set.
BOTTOM LINE
If you are a fan of Kutless or Christian Rock you will enjoy this CD very much.

Having grown up on serious classic rock I'm pretty picky about contemporary christian rock but this CD is outstanding. Love all the versions of the songs. Have listened to it countless times. Turn up the volume and enjoy!
