3 out of 5 stars Rockin   September 26, 2008
This is a good christian Rock album. the musicianship in my opinion rivals most of the Secular rock music that is being produced today. It is good rock music to play and not have to worry about the lyrical content.

5 out of 5 stars Great CD.   September 12, 2008
I'm a child of the 70's and enjoy hard rock now and again. I enjoy Kutless and like this CD of theirs.

5 out of 5 stars Hearts of the Innocent   August 22, 2008
When I first heard of Kutless, a few years ago, I was turned off and thought they were Creed ripoffs. My first summer being stationed in Alaska, my chaplain asked me if I ever heard of Kutless and I said I did. He told me they were coming to Fairbanks and asked me if I wanted to go and I obliged- especially since I didn't have to pay. It's been about a year and a half since then, and I've deployed twice. I think that now, I'm more serious about being a Christian than when I first heard material from this album. I can listen to this thing the whole way through each time I listen. I like that there are some rockers and slow movers on this album. No, not every song on this album is a Jesus anthem, but that doesn't make it less Christian. When I listen to this album, I can't help but smile each time I listen. When first introduced to Christian music in its contemporary form, I was introduced via Jars of Clay and the Newsboys and it was a big turn off, especially since I grew up on Metallica, Megadeth, old Offspring, Alice in Chains... I grew up on some heavy rock, and it was like working out when you've never worked out before. It was completely new and I didn't like it. Now though, I can listen to Jars and Newsboys, and Telecast and 12 Stones, Kutless and Flyleaf- I really like Project 86, maybe not as blatantly Christian as the other bands I listed but their music gets you thinking- it's dark and you have to think. I believe this album is the same way- I think metaphorically speaking lyrics are great so you have to listen to the music more and become addicted to it, or you hate it. Overall, the album is great. The rockers rock, and the slower songs make me want to slow dance with my girl- either that, or really sit down and think about what they're talking about. Is it me, or does the riff in Legacy sound like Alice in Chains' Dam That River? Seriously- listen to how Legacy starts and then listen to Dam That River from Dirt. It's amazing and definitely a highlight for me as an AIC fan, and made me like this CD that much more. The only song I really don't like is Million Dollar Man- they honestly could've made this CD without that song. I don't have any of Kutless' other albums, and I'll probably aquire more in the future, we'll have to see.

5 out of 5 stars hard and melodic at the same time   March 11, 2008
Kutless seems to be a little more harder as time goes by. this album is no exception. one track that stands out to me is "Beyond The Surface", but the whole album is awesome. get this for your collection to add to your musical palate. I have a whole list of recommendations, but I don't want to bore you with those.

5 out of 5 stars Everything I expected.   August 13, 2007
This is my first time buying a Kutless album and I can't stop listening to it! I will buy more of their stuff. I have enjoyed this group so much and so have my kids!
