Not a slorpy chick Bible study January 2, 2009
As a single Christian woman, one of the most difficult things about finding a good Bible study is locating one that focuses on God rather than on being a good wife and mother.
I love Kay's studies because she has such a heart for God. The sole focus of this study is on learning about who God is. This study helped me understand that God is everything: creator, father, provider, leader, healer, savior--ever-present in every circumstance.
I also love this study because it's not slorpy--overflowing with perfumey flowers, sticky-sweet cookies and precious teacups. Some Bible studies are so chickifiedly sweet that they could give readers diabetes. Kay's style is enthusiastic, direct, and intelligent; it could be used by any adult of any race, gender or socioeconomic status.

In response to the person who stated this book was a disappointment: as someone who has suffered sexual abuse, Kay's book was a powerful study for me. To learn about God in such a personal way brought much needed healing in my life. I recommend this book highly for self study or for group study.

Excellent ! Very detailed with simple explanation. The end of the chapter questions are wonderful. This book is a must for understanding and advance development in the charactistics attributes of our Lord Jesus Christ. Also a perfect workbook for group studies.

If you want to get to know God in a way that will change how you live everyday, this is the book to help you on that journey. Biblically accurate and a study that you can do on your own or in a group. There are also teaching DVD's that can be purchased of Kay Arthur's teaching for each chapter. I highly recommend this study.

This book on the names of God is awesome! So much information about the character of God, and how one can have a personal relationship with God and live in light of His Word, His truth. Wonderful book ... Wonderful study. Very indepth, and power packed.
