poor quality December 15, 2008 This bible is handy, but the print is very small. I suppose I read the bible a lot, but the pages have begun falling out rather quickly. Not a good buy...
A great gift for a new soldier September 30, 2008 We sent this item to our grandson who is in Army bootcamp. The size is perfect for his current situation.
Not Leather! June 15, 2008 I don't care whether this little NT is leather or not; after all, what quality leather could one expect for this price anyway? It's a very nice fake leather and has held up well over the period I've owned it.
I carry a Cambridge NASB New Testament every day; it's on its second covering. I've had it at least 25 years (they don't make them this well now!) and have no idea what I paid, but it was certainly more than this.
This little NT is not of that quality, either in binding or paper quality. However, it is quite good. The text in here is considerably smaller and harder to read than my Cambridge, and there is certainly more bleedthrough of text. Again, made to a price. For my middle-aged eyes a little more light is required to read this. For others, it would probably be quite legible.
I also miss the Psalms and Proverbs of my Cambridge NT. This volume is thinner and I guess I didn't know how often I visited those sections. That's nothing against this volume, however.
I like the comfort of having a New Testament in either my coat or pants pocket daily. This ultrasmall volume will also fit in any suit coat or men's slacks. The great part is that it's so very affordable, that even if disaster should ruin it, at least one isn't out a small fortune!
Very Nice Small Bible April 4, 2008 I spent the better part of a day looking around for a very small New Testament to carry and read frequently. I decided on this edition after reading a review (these reviews are very helpful, thank you Amazon!) that said the type was fairly easy to read. My edition arrived today and it is very nice. Well-made, crsip and clear type, and the font is small, but readable. Overall I am glad I bought this edition. The Binding is fake leather however, and the product description should say so.
Not Leather October 12, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I expected a leather bound pocket New Testament and found it was, according to its own stamped discription, "Leather-Look." I also wish that the description had indicated that the "words of Jesus" would be in red.
