 perfect size, perfect translations January 7, 2009
I bought this bible for my husband for Christmas. It is almost $30 cheaper on Amazon then in stores. The size is perfect to put in a back pack or large purse. We both love the Message version, but love to have the NIV translation beside it for reference. I plan on buying this bible in another color for myself, I really like it too. It's perfect. Oh yes, and the print is not too small. It is great to have on hand all the time and an easy enough size to carry with you.

THIS IS THE ITEM I WANTED, HOWEVER I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED A LARGER PRINT...I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE FACT THAT IT STIPULATED PERSONAL SIZE....THAT COULD BE MADE CLEARER IN THE FUTURE...THANKS

I absolutely love this Bible! The Message gives me a fresh perspective on God's Word, but it is great to have the NIV to refer to when the Message is too loosely translated. It is very convenient to have both versions together, to forego having to flip back and forth in two seperate books. In addition, it is very visually appealing, with the two-color leather cover. We have many Bibles at our house, and this one is my favorite.

Just what I've been looking for. The binding is beautiful. The size is not too big. The lettering is a bit small but I would prefer that in order to keep the book size as small as it is. I don't like the gold edges on the pages, other than that it is done well. It is great to have the two texts side by side. It really helps in my personal study time as well as in groups where multiple versions of the Bible are used.

I really like the NIV translation and The Message side by side. If I have a question about one I can look at the other easily. This Bible is very nice. I'm glad I bought it. It's worth the few extra dollars to buy leather, rather than hardback.
