Max McClean's full-bodied and passionate voice brings the Bible alive in this audio Bible. The track's are well organized in MP3 format and have quiet music in the background. I found the music compelling; however, it was played too softly for my taste. Thus, the focus is on the words and I personally prefer louder background music to accompany the greatest living book of all time. However, this audio version of the Bible is well done and is composed in the highly acclaimed ESV version. Max Mclean's voice leaves you craving for more and the price is very competitive for such an eloquent and soothing piece of work. This is a "must add" to your audio collection.

I almost didn't buy this product due to the fact that someone said the mp3 didn't sound as good as the cd's.
Gave it a try anyway and love it. Sounds great.

Love the ESV, love this audio Bible!
A little slow and took some getting used to, but now I find that the speed is perfect for reflecting on what you're listening to. I highly recommend this if you are an ESV fan.

I recently purchased "The Listener's MP3 Bible" narrated by Max McLean. I am very happy with the purchase, and gladly recommend it. The ESV is my favorite version, combining accuracy with readability, and McLean does an excellent job of bringing the written word to life. If you are a busy person, this may be just what you need to find time for placing God's Word in your heart. Nothing is more important, because God's Word is "...able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus" (II Timothy 3:15, ESV).

I wanted this to play in my car cd player but it wont play it because of MP3 format
