 Good quality, bright, bluish, a bit pricey - will use October 11, 2008
I received one of these a few days ago and my verdict is that I am likely to use it when reading books at night.
Brief overview:
- 2 super-bright LED's with lenses
- light has more blue and very little red, or yellow (think of a steady neon light)
- uses 3 (THREE) AAA batteries
- 40-hour battery life (claim is made on the package, not verified by me)
- power supply not provided
- relatively long, flexible arm
- can turn on 1 or 2 LED's
- solid build
- a bit heavy but had no problem using it with a paperback
I will definitely use this lamp when reading books at night. I doubt I will ever use it as a flashlight or a work light unless I had no other choice.

Got one in purple for myself & the black for my husband. He loves it too! Very light in weight (even with the batteries, which surprised me.) Great brightness & we love that it has two intensities. We use rechargeable batteries so it can be used continuously. Works great on the Kindle & also hardcopy books. Can't beat it for the price!

Excellent, well made product. I use mine constantly & love reading with the rest of hte houe lights turned down and this on the kindle screen. the light does not cause a glare & provides a high level of readability to the kindle in darkend environments.

For its low price, this product is a shining beacon of delight for books or Kindles that you are reading! One just needs to remember that there are other colors. But again, for it's low price, this item makes the perfect gift for students in school! So for all you kids out there, during special occasions such as birthdays or winter holidays, treat your fellow classmate with a tool to show them the light and to brighten their studies & homework efforts; all for the cost of about 2 or 3 lunches! Great book light October 8, 2008
This light is really nice. It has 2 settings....one light or two. I use it while reading in bed and it is a clear light, with no glare. It is very light weight. The neck is flexible and stays put. I no longer use a bedside light in the room, and it makes reading so much more relaxing. I cannot believe what a difference this type of light makes.
