This book is a word for our times. We've lost the sense of awe and wonder of God. We're missing the reverence due Him. This book is a powerful and potent reminder of the call for every Believer.

Bevere definitely has some good things to say, but he seems to be distracted by other themes that prevent the book from really being a helpful treatment on the fear of God. The title would lead you to assume that the book is about the fear of the Lord, but it is really at best a 'hit and miss' treatment of the subject.

Bro Revere's "The Fear Of The Lord" is a truly annointed message that anyone serious about a deep, holy walk with God should read and apply to their lives. The author brings us to an understanding of the difference between walking with a holy of fear of God and walking in fear of God (God is about love). There really is a huge difference! This book has changed my life dramatically, and I believe with all my heart that John Bevere is annointed of God.
Currently I am working on a Bible Study on fearing the Lord based on the scriptures and insights of this book. I'll be offering this study as an advanced study for believers in my church and other Christian folks in my life.
Truly a must-read!
Book Club March 6, 2008
I was floored by this book. I love John Bevere as an annointed author, but this book really touched me. I have shared it with my church book club. Our first meeting to discuss it will be 3/15/08. I expect to have an awesome time.
