ESSENTIAL FOR THE STUDY OF ASKLEPIOS April 1, 2000

Simply the most comprehensive book on Asklepios, the greek good of healing, available. Edelstein has every reference to the god in both the original and translation. For a serious scholar this is a holy grail, but for someone without some familirity with the myth, this book might be a little overwhelming.
