Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Did rebel angels take on human bodies to fulfill their lust for the "daughters of men"? Did these fallen angels teach men to build weapons of war?

That is the premise of the Book of Enoch, a text cherished by the Essenes, early Jews and Christians but later condemned by both rabbis and Church Fathers. The book was denounced, banned and "lost" for over a thousand years-until in 1773, a Scottish explorer discovered three copies in Ethiopia.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet examines the controversy surrounding this book and sheds new light on Enoch's forbidden mysteries. She demonstrates that Jesus and the apostles studied the Book of Enoch and tells why Church Fathers suppressed its teaching that angels could incarnate in human bodies. Contains all the Enoch texts, including the Book of Enoch, and biblical parallels.

Fallen Angels and the Origins of Evil takes you back to the primordial drama of Good and Evil, when the first hint of corruption entered a pristine world-earth.

Contains Richard Laurence's translation of the Book of Enoch, all the other Enoch texts, including the Book of the Secrets of Enoch, biblical parallels

1 out of 5 stars AVOID!   September 30, 2008

Prohet starts off with a compelling argument. she then drifts off into her misguided view of spiritualism and inner power. She should test all her views against scripture and not take them out of context!

5 out of 5 stars Substance   July 9, 2008
Substance and daring visions.
The author dissects angels. Break them. And recreates them again while the Church is watching.
Outstanding book.

5 out of 5 stars Very Informational Stuff   May 12, 2008

I found this book very helpful because in this world there are good angels and there are bad angels. It is only a certain type of person who can see that there are some strange things out there in the world and we should be aware. The watchers can also be in the media while using sexual immorality while we live in the last days. Maybe, it is true with our sex crazed society that's probaly ruled by impure spirits.

5 out of 5 stars Intriguing at the very least   February 15, 2008

The Angel Hunter
I gave this a 5-star for one main reason. It was thought provoking and sparked my imagination. It was the catalyst for my own novel, The Angel Hunter. The Watchers, the offspring, the Book of Enoch... all fascinating subject matter. If you consume what this author writes with an open mind and common sense, I'm sure you will find it at least intriguing. Is it information on which to base your religious faith or belief systems? No. But neither is any other literary work.

4 out of 5 stars Good resource for solid believers, but novices and beginners beware   December 27, 2007

Good resource for solid believers, but novices and beginners beware. Always do your homework on authors. If you do your homework, on this one you'll know for the conservative believer she was a bit out there to say the least. However, I found the book not only a good resource, but a good intro to the Book of Enoch. I found that if you recognize that God gave us everything in the Bible, and that anything written outside the 66 books should just be supportive, and confirmation that what the Bible says is true. There are just somethings that won't be revealed until later so we should just be satisfied with what we are able to ascertain with what we are given by the Holy Spirit. I use 1Cr 13:12 as a base: "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
