Amazon.com Review Conversations with God for Teens reads like a rap session at a church youth group, where teenagers discuss everything they ever wanted to know about life but were too afraid to ask God. Once again author Neale Donald Walsch acts as the verbal conduit, showing teenagers how easy it is to converse with the divine. After the enormous success of his previous Conversations with God books, Walsch was asked to write a book for teenagers. So he collected questions from teenagers around the world, brought them into his private dialogue with God, and then printed God's answers on the page. So when Claudia, age 16, from Perth, Australia, asks, "Why can't I just have sex with everybody? What's the big deal?", the answer God offers her is: "Nothing you do will ever be okay with everybody. 'Everybody' is a large word. The real question is can you have sex and have it be okay with you?" There's no doubt that the casual question-and-answer format will help make God feel welcoming and accessible to teens. And the introduction by Alanis Morissette raises the "cool" factor considerably. Nonetheless, it's not for all teenagers: older adolescents (17 and older) may find it hokey or manipulative, and preteens (10 to 12) could find some of the questions too mature. --Gail Hudson
Product Description
Suppose you could ask God any question and get an answer. What would it be? Well, young people all over the world have been asking those questions. So Neale Donald Walsch, author of the internationally best-selling Conversations with God series of books (in 27 languages so far), had another conversation. It's a simple, clear, straight-to-the-point dialogue. The answers may challenge your beliefs about God, money, sex, love, about everything you may have been taught. But if you ever wanted to know if God is listening to you, if God can really help, if God cares about you, if there is a God, and if there are answers to your questions, then this is the book for you. Because you'll discover that it is not really the author's conversation with God that matters. It's your own conversation. And there's not a better time to begin than right now.

Trust yourself and Jesus December 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For EVERY human behaviour - the most "moral" and the most "immoral" there can be found a justification in the bible. No problem. All for the "good cause" of course. If on the other hand you read the SERMON OF THE MOUNT and take it as the central message of Jesus and the bible (i.e. Love and joy) then there is no contradiction to anything Neale Donald Walsch (and Yogananda and Buddha and - and - and) have ever said and written. This book is an invitation to free yourself from - well from whatever keeps you bound in body, mind and spirit. And THAT is the reason behind ALL of the negative reviews to this book. Freedom is scary, isn't it? But that's the adventure life is about. Love and joy. That's the adventure. Security? If that's what you want in body, mind and spirit, there is a road for you too. But it never leads where your heart wants to go.
Talk About Leading A Person astray ... December 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an outright attempt to "create your own god" for "whatever makes you feel good." The author is completely out in left field and is attempting to drag others there with him. This is a road that isn't even worth consideration.
Not Christian but Buddhist "god" November 26, 2008 This is simply the Buddhist point of view with some relativism and modern-day tolerance thrown in for good measure. It is deceptive and destructive. And anyone who prefers this kind of "god" should look outside of Christianity because it describes something light-years away from God Almighty.
BANNED BY FUNDAMENTALISTS, MAKES THIS A MUST READ! October 22, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
All you have to look at is how many fundamentalists have giveN this book a negative review. This will make you want to pick up the book. If you believe in a loving God and want answers to the hard questions this is for you. Yes Mr Walsch says you are OK, Especially if you are a gay teen. PLease read all the negative reviews and then see what all the fuss is about, but this book.
I'd rate this a ZERO if I could October 17, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is no good. Definitely doesn't lead teens in the way they should go. And thats fine if it doesn't claim to be a "Christian" book. No book should be titled in reference to "God" as this one is. Obviously the author was TRYING to attract Christians out there. Seriously if I wasn't a Christian I wouldn't of looked twice at this book.
