This true story shares a beautiful story of hardships, family love, brushes with death, blessed choices, and a life-earned appreciation of how God guides and protects. The author has an easy to read first person style that is often humorous. This is also a treasure trove of details about what it was like to live through the Great Depression, World War II, and transitions from the industrial, to electronic, to digital ages. A good read for enjoyment or research into history!

Don't miss Roy Simmons' story on growing up in America during the dust bowl era. The stories he tells of growing up are echoed throughout history. The hardest of times and the best of times are described honestly and sprinkled with a touch of humor. Thank you Roy for sharing your life with us.
