Product Description "If you don't like the way your life is going, redesign it. Redeem the years you lost. Restore your vision, revive your passion for living, and reclaim what was dormant inside of you. I cannot give you the dream but I can give you the tools to reach the dreams you have inside."-- T.D. Jakes In Reposition Yourself, bestselling author T.D. Jakes shares insights that will help you adjust to the many changes that life brings. This is a shrill wake up call to take charge of your life now, confronting areas where subtle passivity or even poor choices may have stifled your creativity, and instructing how to manage change and maximize life now. Covering financial, relational, and spiritual creativity, Jakes shows how adapting to transitional moments is the path to an enriched existence filled with contentment at every stage. Jakes accepts the inevitability of change, teaching how to embrace and expect it rather than fear it. Mixing both sacred and secular insights, he shares a unique mix of practical and pragmatic steps coupled with the sage wisdom of scripture for which he is noted. A makeover for the soul, Reposition Yourself gives you permission to succeed and the how-to's necessary to position yourself for the limitless potential that comes from making minor adjustments in your thinking and plans.

Useless Jibber Jabber November 25, 2008 I bought the audio collection and I have to say that it offers nothing but a large vocabulary and name-droppings, emphasizing the droppings part. Boy Mr. Jakes likes himself. Please do not waste your hard-earned money on platitude after platitude. I have never written a review, but this POS was so bad, I had to step up and try to save America some money.
Wise and Concise November 17, 2008 In Reposition Yourself, Bishop T.D. Jakes gives wise and authoritative insight on making a new pact with your life and recovering from setbacks. Although Bishop Jakes is an impassioned and sweaty-browed speaker that engages hundreds of thousands in his television broadcasts and church congregations, his writing style is calm, personal and understanding, yet provacative.
Coming from an intimate understanding of human nature and relationships as well as stances influenced by paternal pastoral leadership, Bishop Jakes takes readers by a firm hand and leads them through the theme of the book. Ultimately he guides you to the mirror to face the challenge of personal responsibility.
I found that the first half of the book was the most useful. The second half was a bit preachy and out of touch with most peoples' experiences, as it was mostly written from the standpoint of his role as a high-profile church leader and executive.
The first half was an easy read, and I could definitely relate to all of his points. For instance, he opens the book with "The Intervention", as though the reader has entered a room filled with his/her neglected selves, all begging for the proper attention from his/her conscience. Sometimes as we go through life, outside matters take precedence over our health and deeper needs. Each of us experiences this as we all have denial in some area life. The lesson in this is to stop and reposition ourselves to pay attention to what has been neglected or what needs to be reprioritized.
I knew that I would need to read this book eventually. It is not a motivational book that gives pie-in-the-sky affirmations or advice. With his Biblical wisdom and ability to speak directly and intimately, Bishop Jakes' style is spiritual and practical. It is not realistic to think that any book will give instant solutions, because most of the things that become problematic in life do not happen overnight, either. But this book is a very wise choice to read if you are feeling or experiencing a need to take another look at yourself in order to become happier or more successful in any area of your life, and need a firm foundation to get a grip or start over for the better.
Great Book October 21, 2008 This was a powerful book, and it left me a feeling of great motivation and the new choices in life to come.
Just Awesome!!! October 13, 2008 I originally bought this book for my daughter after seeing T.D.Jakes on Dr. Phill show. But after reading part of it, I bought my own copy. I can't believe what insight this man has. As I was reading it, it was so relavent to my daughter's situation. But then the very next chapter was talking directly to me about what I wanted to do with the next phase of my life. I think this book talks to everyone no matter what is going on in their lives. I hightly recommend this book to EVERYONE. A must Have!
Repositioning Assistance October 8, 2008 This is a life changing book for those needing to come to terms with obstacles standing in the way of meeting one's full potential. Reading this book and using the workbook simultaneously is a meaningful experience! I would highly recommend it! PGEE
