Product Description In less than a year, you can travel through the entire Old Testament from Genesis to Malachi. These daily readings, comments, and questions will deepen your walk with God and heighten your knowledge of his Word. But this book is far more than a simple reading program. It will lead you to a devotional experience with God. Discover why Jesus was so passionate about the Old Testament and quoted from it so frequently. As you open this reading guide and your Bible, youll see why the same ancient wisdom that Jesus treasured is just what you need for your life today.

Good Daily Reading Guide August 7, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you need a daily schedule for reading, this book fits the bill. This is really two books in one -- the 40-week complete track and the 32-week fast track. Pick one. Each day lists 3 to 6 Bible chapters for reading and about 3 to 6 questions for personal study. Our Bible study group just finished the 40-week track together. I found the questions to be repetitive in style, spotty in their coverage, unimaginative, and not that good for discussion purposes.
The Fast Track is excellent May 23, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
T'm most of the way through the 32-week fast track. I love this because a) It's easier to commit to and follow through with than a whole year; b) There are only 3 assignments per week, so if I get behind I can catch up easily.
It is not for in-depth study, but is good for mild-depth study. It provides some explanations and questions for each day's readings, but doesn't go into timelines, maps, charts, etc. My favorite part is the way it links together the various parts of the Bible. Each day's study questions refer to other relevant passages in the OT and/or NT. Looking those up brings the Bible into a more cohesive whole in my mind.
